A few days ago, it was 76. Then it was 75. now it's 74. Who's been deleting users? Has someone banned Prayag?

Good question Suki. If you have kept an eye on the names of people registering you would get why people are disappearing. A large number of user ids are being created by a rogue BOT. Unfortunately, this mundane BOT has taken a fancy to The Blabberwocky. Each time a reduntant user id is created I have to delete them.
Besides this problem, Satrajit has forgotten his username and password so I deleted his old account on his permission so that he can re-register. He hasn't yet done that.
Also, some mysterious person called shahzad2003 joined the Blab a long time ago and has not made a single post nor has he/she replied to my email on identification. shahzad2003 has also made its way to the great dustbin in the sky.
I'm shifting this topic to the Comments/Suggestions/Queries section as it falls under a technical Query. |

Didn't realise the problem was so technical, otherwise I would definitely have gone for this subforum to put this thread. I thought people were leaving the blab at random, and it was kind of worrying!
Soo.. rogue BOTs, disloyal memories and defunct users are the reason!

| Will do. Currently it can only be dealt with by the Administrator. This problem is all over the forumup setup apparently...not just on The Blabberwocky. The Italian dude who owns forumup is trying to figure out the solution at the moment. I'm kinda puzzled its happening despite the word verification during registration. |
